We recommend, for ease of programming, that you write your zone numbers down on a sheet of paper and then to the right of each zone number write its zone definition. Each zone will be its own segment and there will be toggle options that can be turned on and off by pressing the corresponding number. This is true with the partition locations as well. After entering the definition you will press * to advance to the next segment. To program the zone definitions for each zone you will go into each location and input a zone definition into the appropriate segment. For example Location 26 is used to assign zones 1-8 to whatever partition you’re using them on. You will then have the next location for assigning zones to different partitions. For instance Location 25 is zone definition programming for zones 1-8. Each location will correspond to a set of 8 zones. NetworX NX8 & NX8E will have locations 25-36. Depending on the model of Interlogix NetworX panel you have the locations may differ. Zone definitions are programmed in locations 25 to 36. Step 8 –Zone Definition Programming (Locations 25 to 36) Segments 5 & 6 are not used so you can just press * through these. Segment 4 – Exit Time 2 (45-255 seconds).Segment 3 – Entry Time 2 (30-255 seconds).Segment 2 – Exit Time 1 (45-255 seconds).Segment 1 – Entry Time 1 (30-255 seconds). When you enter this location you will enter the first value in the first segment and then press * to move to the next segment. You will now set you entry and exit delays for any doors. You will then press # to exit location 42.You will then press * * to skip the last two segments. Continue to do this until you have entered in all 4 digits of your new Programming Code.

We recommend that you do this as any burglar could research the default codes for a system. Step 6 – (Location 42) Change Programming Code Locations are programming sections and we will cover these below You will then see ‘Enter location, then #’. The device address for panel programming is 0 You will then see ‘Enter device address and then press #’. To enter into the panel’s programming section you will enter * + 8 + Programming Code. When finished press # while the ‘Ready’ LED is flashing. If you need to enter another code repeat the process above. If it was rejected then you’ll hear it beep 3 times. The ‘Ready’ light will then begin to flash again letting you know it was accepted. You will then enter a 4-digit code for that user. You will then enter in the three digit user code slot you’d like to change (001-040). Then press # to exit back to main screen.
